Our Vehicle Familiarisation Course is delivered in your own SUV/4x4 at North Yorkshire Off Road Centre in Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby.

This informal session is designed for those who've recently purchased an SUV or 4x4 vehicle, or those who would like to better understand their vehicle.

On a 1:1 basis, your instructor will take you through the controls and systems on your own vehicle, explain how they work, and when to use them.
We'll help you get to grips with the techniques required to stay safe in your vehicle, and to prevent unneccesary damage or risk.
As our site is so varied, we can tailor sessions to your specific vehicle type, and to any particular terrain that you may need to drive on regularly.

Our Vehicle Familiarisation Course costs just £225^+VAT / £270^{inc VAT} per session
You will be on site for around 3 hours, with over 2½ hours of actual driving time.
Morning sessions are 9.30am-12.30pm and afternoons are 1pm-4pm.

During your session you will be driving your own vehicle, but our instructor will be with you at all times.
The instructor will decide which obstacles and terrain are suitable/appropriate for your vehicle.

You may bring along guests subject to available seating in the vehicle, but remember our instructor will need the front passenger seat throughout.
Your guests may also (if you'd like) drive your vehicle, but this is at your risk and will obviously reduce the amount of driving time per person.

Tuition is available 7 days per week, although weekend dates tend to book up much further in advance.
Dates and vehicle choice are subject to availability, so please book early if you require a specific date or vehicle.
